A Patient with a Mission

As a pioneering patient, Daniel’s inspiring story and  'genius leap' reveals solutions to a high cost problem in healthcare.

Daniel's mission is to reduce the burden of stress and trauma for all illness, across the life cycle, from birth to hospice.  This includes:

  1. Improve Resilience skills
  2. Reduce suffering
  3. Improve health outcomes
  4. Reduce the financial burden of illness
  5. Support all people to thrive: in life, business, relationships and health.

Brain Trauma - Genius Leap

At age 17 Daniel had a stroke. Over time,  he experienced 100’s of stroke and seizure events, and struggled with a cascade of complex medical symptoms.

This compound brain trauma, although a difficult experience, caused a genius leap.

Daniel’s  experience  reflects current research that documents that brain truama, illness and other injuries can cause the development of exceptional abilities.    His ‘genius leap’ contains elements of ‘Accidental Genius’ and ‘Acquired Savant Syndrome’ researched over the past 20 years by Dr. Darold Treffert.

Practical Solutions

Daniel brings first-hand insight, and new specialty skills, into a hidden epidemic – the impact of stress and trauma, especially childhood trauma, upon costly, life long illness.

Presently, Daniel works in private practice as an advanced bodyworker supporting clients to resolve  stress, trauma and illness.  His clients include patients, nurses, physicians, mental health practitioners, and business professionals.

He has supported 100's of clients to reduce stress and eliminate trauma through advanced mind-body and somatic therapies, plus advanced massage.   Over the past 20 years has supported over 3000 clients.

Innovative Skills

The core of the advanced skills used with clients were innately developed by Daniel as he recovered from 100’s of strokes.

Based upon client observations and case studies, an unmet market need has been identified.

The intent is to scale these practical solutions in a training and media format to fill this real human need and help more people.

Moon Shot - Animated Film Art Style

Daniel's moon shot solution is to develop a new film animation art style and story genre that combines medical illustration with entertainment animation, special effects and pop art.

This is a translational science storytelling vehicle based upon Daniel’s pioneering stroke recovery therapy.  This genius leap scales to multiple applications: child development, health education, business training, and entertainment

Training and Media Project

This strategy proposes an industry collaboration to develop and promote a niche training curriculum that ties into a feature animated film, and related media properties.

This is a break through concept to address a core cause of healthcare cost across the life cycle.

This project is built upon:

  1. Assessment of an unmet market need.
  2. A model of anatomy and physiology based in information, signaling, human relationship, and arts & humanities.
  3. A next generation artistic style to represent the human body. This art style blends medical illustration with entertainment animation, special effects, cartoon animation, super hero art,  cartoon physics, and principles of integrated health.
  4. A unique character model that serves as a messenger for basic and advanced skills: translational science, health, wellness, performance and communication.
  5. A niche, high value, world, character and story structure - that is pure entertainment, with a stealth health message.

Applications include:

  1. Human performance
    1. Business
    2. Sports
  2. Personal relationships, Family and children
  3. Stress-illness-resilience
  4. Attention regulation
  5. Systems thinking
  6. Inquiry methodology
  7. Entertainment
